Questions
Money stuff, plainly
- Is it a subscription?
- No. sudo and root are one-off payments. No monthly fee from us, ever.
- What does running it cost?
- We charge nothing for running it. It runs on Cloudflare's and Telegram's free tiers, which cover normal personal use. Two costs can land on your own Cloudflare account: Workers AI past the free daily allowance (food photos on sudo and root; the bot stops itself before that), and Workers Paid ($5/mo) only if you outgrow the free limits.
- How do I get the paid features?
- Buy sudo or root and you get a licence key by email. Add it to the bot you already run on /upgrade: about 2 minutes, same bot, your data stays put.
- One licence, how many bots?
- One licence key unlocks one bot.
- Does root include a screen?
- No, hardware isn't included. root sets up a TRMNL e-ink screen you already own. Kindle support is still in testing (it needs a Kindle you've jailbroken yourself, at your own risk). More on /root.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes, within 14 days. See refunds. Your bot goes back to the open-source plan on its next build and keeps working.
