These terms cover the touchgrass.sh website, the open-source touchgrass bot, and the paid sudo and root add-ons. touchgrass.sh is run by an individual sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Questions: hello@touchgrass.sh.

1. What touchgrass is

touchgrass is a Telegram bot that reminds you about everyday basics like water, food, moving and sleep while you work. You deploy it to your own Cloudflare account and connect it to your own Telegram bot. We do not host your install and we cannot see the data in it.

2. Not medical advice

touchgrass is a habit reminder, not a medical device or a health service. Nothing it says is medical, nutritional or fitness advice. Food photo estimates are rough guesses by an AI model and can be wrong. Check with a qualified professional before changing your diet or exercise, and stop any movement that hurts.

3. The open-source core

The core bot (the user tier) is released under the MIT licence. That licence, not these terms, governs your use of the open-source code.

4. Paid add-ons

  • What you buy: a one-off licence to the sudo or root add-on code, delivered as access to a private GitHub repository and a licence key. No subscription.
  • What you may do: install, use and modify the add-on code for yourself or within your own team.
  • What you may not do: share, resell or publish the paid add-on code, or the repository access, with people who have not bought it.
  • Updates: you keep access to the repository and the updates we publish there, for as long as we maintain the add-on.
  • root setup: the done-for-you setup is a one-time remote setup of your own install, booked by email after purchase. You stay the owner of your Cloudflare and Telegram accounts.
  • E-ink screens: hardware is not included. The root tier includes setup steps for devices you already own.

5. Payments

Orders are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments, which handles payment, invoicing and sales tax (such as VAT). Their terms apply to the payment itself. Prices are shown in US dollars on the site and may change, but a change never affects an order you have already paid for.

6. Running costs

touchgrass is built to run on Cloudflare's and Telegram's free tiers for normal personal use. If you go past Cloudflare's free allowances (for example heavy photo analysis with Workers AI), Cloudflare bills your own account. We never charge you for running it.

7. Refunds

8. No warranty

The software is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it will be error-free or always available, and we are not responsible for outages at Cloudflare, Telegram or GitHub.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you can also bring claims in the courts where you live.
